Hi, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for a wonderful weekend in Blagdon. The Bride and rest of the hens had a fantastic time. The cottage was perfect for what we needed and set in such a beautiful location. Big thanks also to Viv who gave some of the girls (me included) such relaxing treatments. We ate at both the pubs, and the food was fantastic, such lovely local pubs. Thank you so much for all your help in planning and organising this. It really helped make the weekend perfect. We have just got back from our weekend stay in the white cottage. It was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Tracy and Renee and Adrian were happy to help with any questions we had before our arrival and the cottage was beautiful and very clean! Our meal on the first night was delicious the next day we loved the hot tub, go wild and posh frocks&wellies activities. We filled the rest of our time with games that we had bought with us and enough chill time in between. I would definitely recommend the cottage for a hen weekend with something to suit everyone ! Thank you so much Katie xx

We’ve just had the most magical weekend staying at White Cottage through Weekend In The Country. The cottage itself was STUNNING! Our bride to be was over the moon and loved the decor & location. The views to wake up to in the morning were fabulous! We also booked a minibus through Tracy at Weekend In The Country and our driver Steve was a joy! No waiting around or delays, we were straight into Bath and picked up on time at the end of the day. The whole weekend has been fantastic and we would definitely recommend this company to others! Would definitely recommend to others looking for hen do destinations, attention to detail is great & the actual glamping site is ideal for groups! Dinner provided for one night was lovely & easy to cook ourselves whenever we wanted it.
The school sports day activity was a great ice breaker for all of us and got us chatting to the whole group! Adrian was brilliant at spurring us on and making us laugh! The posh frocks and wellies trail is very well done (even though we did take a wrong turn and went the long way round!) What a fabulous weekend that my beautiful bridesmaids planned in secret for me. I had no clue what I was doing until I got there.My instructions included a posh frock and wellies, and I was not disappointed with the reason behind this!
Everything about the weekend was perfect, I loved how rustic everything was and we had perfect weather to go with it.

We had such a great weekend here a couple of weekends ago for my sisters hen do! From word go, Tracy was so helpful with all of our enquiries and it was lovely to meet both Tracy and Renee while were there as they were both so brilliant throughout the whole experience. A huge thank you to Tracy, Renee and Adrian...absolutely amazing weekend for my beautiful and dear friend, Tracy, who will be walking down the aisle in just a few weeks! From the first moments exploring and booking and right through till the end, the Weekend In the Country team have been informative, friendly, kind, professional and full of great ideas! The actual glamp site was outstanding with superb facilities and a personal touch. The surrounding area is beautiful and even the taxis (organised through the team) followed the same ethos as the rest of the team: friendly, informative, funny and lovely :). We loved the wellies & posh frocks walk and found a beautiful spot for a well-earned picnic. Spa facilities were great and the food provided was seriously fabulous!! Yum!! Amazing Aberdeen Angus beef lasagne and chicken enchiladas with salad and fresh bread...plus bottles of bubbles. Great quality food...thank you so much.

All in all, us girls enjoyed a relaxing break in a beautiful place with attention to detail and an understanding of need. Beautiful decor and warm communal living spaces too...thank you!! Laura

SUCH a fun weekend for my best friend’s festival-themed Hen Do! The bell tents and barn room were so pretty with the bunting and fairy lights and our 80s-themed silent disco was HILARIOUS (highlight: dancing in the field under the stars)! The barn and little gravel area in front was a great place to hang out, dance, play silly games and eat bacon sarnies to cure our hangovers! Renee and Adrian were great - they left us to it but were never far away if we needed them! Thanks for a great weekend! :) Anya

I literally don't know where to start with how much I loved this weekend! Everything was awesome from the beautiful bell tents to the gorgeous barn which was even better than I pictured.
The posh frocks walk was hilarious! The 'steps' were a little unclear in places, but for me (as I have a weird sense of humour) it just made it even more entertaining. Adrian made us laugh loads whilst we were foraging for wild stuff to make wild booze and the silent disco made a great weekend even better!
Plus the fact we had to walk up a country lane in our swimming costumes and raincoats to get to the hot tub was just the icing on top of the cake for me! Laughs aplenty!
All of the information on the webpage and from comms with Tracy was clear so we knew we had to bring more toilet roll and towels etc. Tracy, Adrian and Renee have been so personable and lovely, nothing has been too much trouble, and I have no question that if there had been anything we hadn't been happy with, they would have bent over backwards to sort it out.

The cottage was easy to get to with some great views and the parking space was generous. The cottage had everything you needed and was very well kept and clean, we all totally enjoyed the meal that was left for us on the first night it was very tasty.

The spa was refreshing and it was nice to just relaxed with great company, however the weather did not want to be on our side for the Go Wild Activity, Bear (our name for our activity leader) was amazing, he just kept us all motivated and laughing throughout the morning, so what could have been a washout turned out to be a morning full of fun, laughter and eating things I never thought we would eat.

The Komedia night out went like a dream, the transport arrived on time, there and back, the meal at the event was very good and the comedians were entertaining. We then enjoyed 2 hours of none stop dancing to finish the night off, then carried the hen home.

I would like to thank Tracy for all her support in helping me organise my daughters hen weekend. This was truly a fantastic memorable weekend that will stay with us all for many years to come.

Private dining at the hotel was brilliant - the room was perfect for our group and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The private dining room made a fantastic evening. The food was lovely and it was nice to have our own private space to chat and play games.

Posh frocks and wellies - we all really enjoyed this however one part of the route near the end was quite overgrown and difficult to pass. The instructions given were easy to follow and the photo check list was lots of fun.

Thank you very much for making organising my friends hen do so easy and for making it a brilliant weekend. She had a fantastic time and the activities and accommodation were perfect for our group.

I would like to say a massive thank you for my 40th birthday weekend. Everything went really smoothly, the hotel was lovely the staff were great and the food was fantastic. We also absolutely loved the posh frocks and wellies walk and the weather stayed kind to us so we all had a ball. 

Was there one thing you thought was particularly good about your weekend? Everything. But I have to say I was very, very impressed by the standard of the hotel. I couldn't fault it and they were so helpful because on the Saturday afternoon i changed the time of our meal from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm and they were very accommodating. Excellent service. 

Was there one thing that was poor or you thought we, or our suppliers, didn’t do well? No!  I thought you planned and catered for everything and the information given in the Posh Frocks and wellies walk was really informative.

Was there one thing that was particularly good?

The glampsite was beautiful and so well equipped - it made the weekend really enjoyable for all of us. It was great to have the option of being outside in tents or inside by the heater in the barn!

Was there one thing we didn’t do well and could improve?

The admin process beforehand - I found it quite frustrating. Everyone was absolutely lovely and helpful when I spoke to you, but it often took a while for someone to answer my calls. (Note – as a result of this feedback we have introduced a separate customer services telephone line specifically to look after all our groups once booked)

Would you recommend us?  Yes, definitely 

Accommodation was perfect for us - the location was beautiful, and it was very, very beautifully presented - much nicer than I expected!! We stayed in the barn glampsite and I wasn't sure what to expect of the barn - you should put more pictures on your website to promote how well equipped, clean and pretty it is! I loved all the little decorative touches. Facilities were good, much better than expected for glamping - working toilets and showers etc.

The tents were great, the air-beds were super comfy and didn't deflate at all over the weekend. Tents were big enough for people to gather in them, get changed etc. We could stand up fully and get dressed which was a bonus!

Also, Renee was lovely and firstly offered us an upgrade to a cottage if we wanted it (unfortunately we had to say no as the bride LOVES camping!) and also let us use the adjacent barn so we could get together and do a yoga session in the morning which was great and really made the weekend feel a bit special and different. I really appreciate how accommodating you all were!

Just to say the weekend was great! The bride absolutely loved it and I don't think we could have found a more perfect spot for a bit of luxury camping in some gorgeous countryside!

Thank you so very much for the use of your fantastic facilities this weekend. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The house is perfect for entertaining such a group and in such glorious surroundings. The hot tub this morning was ideal to soak up the scenery around.

The frocks and wellies walk went down so well and the pub is a delightful little pub and they really looked after us and catered for all our needs.

An extra thank you for the effort with the celiac meal, it was a real hit and I felt jealous not to be vegetarian as it was delicious.

I just want to add here that I think I left some bunting up in the dining room and living space. I am very sorry about this, it is tied up with elastic and I just have no memory of taking it down so it must still be there!

Steve was great, really accommodating and patient! The other taxis to and from the train station were on time, helpful and reliable.

Everyone  seemed to have a good giggle on the activity , although a 10am start was a bit tricky ! (We managed eventually apart from 1 !)

We had a fantastic time thank you so much. The bride is sad she'll never have another weekend as fun again! All the girls loved it, even the anti campers embraced it!  I forgot to tell you we could hear a little critter of some description in the roof above the showers scrabbling around? (comment from us - we have a squirrel family living in the chestnut tree just outside the barn :) )

The barn felt really special, all the ornaments /lights/ decorations made it feel really homely and comfortable. We felt at home from the minute we arrived! The beef lasagne was delicious!

Please comment on your activity (if you had an activity with us) & instructor? *Will did sports day with us & as the pregnant photographer it was a joy to watch.  So much laughter it was hilarious.  Even the hungover hens joined in and went for it, with a few breaks to pull themselves together haha! Will was lovely he was confident without being cocky like some instructors can be. He felt like an extra hen! He was really sweet and everyone loved the activities! 

Are there any other comments or suggestions you would like to make? 

*Maybe some more solar lights leading towards the barn from the tents for those midnight trips to the loo. (comment from us - we limit outside lighting as we are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the darker it is the better for star-gazing... we do suggest bringing torches!)

Thank you again it was a beautiful weekend and the bride was super happy.  Organising it was  made easier with the help of the team, I didn't even pull any hair out!

Thank you so much for a brilliant weekend. We all had such an amazing time, the White cottage is gorgeous and was perfect for the hen weekend. 

Thank you Adrian for the cider and cheese tasting. Your funny stories and knowledge were great. I managed to give my sister the perfect hen party with exactly what she wanted. 

Our night out at Komedia was brilliant, our evening was finished off with a sing along with Steve the mini bus driver. He was very tolerant of our not so pitch perfect rendition of cheesy girly songs, (which were from steve's iPod!!) we were well impressed.  

Thank you for making the organising so easy. We all want to do it all over again!

White Cottage

Thanks for the fab hen weekend. Hen was very happy and everyone had a lovely time.

The 2 activities that were arranged through Weekend in the Country really made it exciting and special. It was so convenient to have them both starting from our doorstep too.

Office staff were wonderful, very helpful and polite. 

Fantastically gorgeous location. The White Cottage was lovely.

The Go Wild activity was wonderful, I can see why this is a firm favourite. Our instructor was Will who was really lovely. He struck just the right balance between cheekiness (suitable for hen party) and professionalism. He had a lovely manner with all the ladies and seemed to know his stuff when it came to the foraging and fire-starting.

Posh frocks and wellies was great fun. The personalised picture trail was a lovely touch - we gave it to the hen (who has a terrible sense of direction) and told her that she had to get us to the pub, it was hilarious.

Thanks so much for a very lovely, very different hen weekend. I think you're doing a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Weekend in the Country.

Hi all

Sorry in delay of replying to feedback but just to say would definitely highly recommend weekendinthecountry 

Hen house was lovely and all guests absolutely loved it. The only hitch we had was two of the guests didn't have towels and I know we could have rung the owner but we worked our way round it and did not want to bother her on her lovely holiday.

The mini bus driver was fantastic and I know we had a little hitch but that was kindly and quickly sorted for us. Although the plan had to go shopping pre cocktails, it just meant that we didn't spend anymore money that we shouldn't lol so was not a major issue. Plus it will be just another excuse to return.

Thank you for the great communication and I am hoping to start my venue styling late July at just one venue but I will be definitely recommending you for any lovely hens looking for something different.

Really helpful, emails returned very quickly I personally found emailing easier than calling

What did you think of your accommodation – location/decoration/facilities/views/etc?

Excellent really spacious and lovely setting in the country. Bedrooms great and kitchen fully equipped. Could do with garden furniture for smokers and on hot days to enjoy the garden and views.

So much fun and interesting lovely walk across the country and instructor great very passionate about foraging 

Please comment on your transport (minibus, taxis, etc if booked with us)?

Very good and helpful stopping at shop for us on the way

I would def recommend this place to anyone. Have already been telling loads of people about it!

You were both so very helpful & nothing was too much trouble. The pop up barn was ideal with all the equipment we needed. The shower & toilet area are spot on & I think your future plans for the site will be absolutely fab! 

I know all my party feel exactly the same & we all said we would come again. We will certainly be recommending you to all our friends & family. Keep on doing what you’re doing.

Thank you both for the most fantastic weekend which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Laura hasn't stopped talking about her weekend since she's been home! Was perfect for her. I'm sure many of our group will want to return, I certainly will. Feedback below.

Both Adrian & Renee were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble! The cider & cheese tasting was fab! Everything was fantastic. 

Renee was very helpful, especially when we got a little lost, and she was there to greet us on arrival. Very good meet and greet service. 

Location was beautiful and secluded. Everyone was so impressed with the space and decoration of the barn. Photos don't do it justice. Tents nice and comfortable, loved the bunting! Very clean and well equipped.

Everyone love the cider and cheese tasting. Was very informative and Adrian was great. Thought the gift for my sister was such a lovely touch. And I loved my chilli jam! Pregnant ladies also very well catered for!

Minibus driver very punctual and friendly!

We all had a great weekend and would just like to say thank you for making it so special and memorable! Perfect place for a hen do and Adrian & Renee are perfect hosts!
